Purpose & Values
The best businesses I have worked in & with have always had clear Purpose & Values that are truly lived & believed by the majority of the people who work in them. People who have worked in a values driven organisation where there is a narrow "gap" between the espoused values and predominant behaviour understand how special this is. People who haven't - don't.
An important personal development activity for me though was to identify my own personal Purpose & Values which I did as part of the Gung Ho! programme by Ken Blanchard. It is not easy to develop your own personal purpose & values but it is critical to identify whether you are aligned with the organisation with which you are working
My purpose is:
"Through true teamwork, to deliver - and thereby leave a legacy".
My values are:
Honesty, Trust, Respect & Fun
